Adventure With A Mythical Beast

The Golden Core was the foundation of a cultivator and thus when the patriarch and the foster father to Chen Fann decided to take it, Chen was obviously unwilling, pained and disappointed. 
He was an orphan and a beggar on the streets when the patriarch rescued him so as gratitude, he did the unthinkable and handed over his golden core, eight years of intense cultivation and qi condensation.

Miraculously, the soul of a ferocious beast from the ancient era, the fifth son of a dragon which happened to be roaming at the time takes Chen Fann as a host. 
As a recompense, Chen Fann learns the Devouring Rune technique which enables him to extract spiritual energy and innate talent of all things.
