C3 He Got Full Marks!!

He definitely needs to study!

With only four hours left in the day, minus time for meals and travel, Yan Xin was still three hours shy of completing the task assigned by the system!

50 points!

With his previously earned points, Yan Xin could easily purchase an Extrapolation Skill from the Basic Support Division!

That would make solving problems so much easier in the future!

"Don't just stand there in awe, our son is incredible!" exclaimed Yan Xin's mother, bursting with excitement.

Yan Xin's father racked his brain but couldn't quite grasp it. Wasn't Yan Xin just playing a game?

Peering through the doorway, they caught sight of Yan Xin studying under the lamp's glow, leaving them utterly astonished.

Yet, not wanting to interrupt his studies, Yan Xin's mother silently carried the fruit back out.

Little did Yan Xin know, his parents were brimming with joy!

Their pride in him had earned him a reward: 50 points!

Yan Xin beamed with joy. Just ten hours of study stood between him and the secure purchase of the Extrapolation Skill tomorrow!

The following day.

Math class.

At the back of the classroom, a boy was fast asleep, as was his routine. His deskmate, Liu Ying, rolled her eyes in annoyance.

But Yan Xin had powered through all the high school math topics the night before!

"Let's have a pop quiz! With the mock exams next week, I expect everyone to take this seriously. I'll be handing out the test papers now," announced Fong Guode as he distributed the papers, one by one. Glancing at Yan Xin at the back of the room, he shook his head in resignation.

It seemed unlikely that Yan Xin had solved yesterday's problem on his own. He probably had encountered it before!

He had overthought it!

"Wake up, it's time for the test!" Fong Guode nudged Yan Xin.

Yan Xin's loud exclamation drew a wave of discontent from the class.

Glancing briefly at the test paper Fong Guode handed him, Yan Xin saw that it was quite straightforward.

Following his usual pattern, Yan Xin completed the test within five minutes and promptly resumed his nap.

A perfect score on the math quiz. Reward: 20 points!

However, once the system's voice rang out, Yan Xin was wide awake and lost all traces of sleepiness!

Poor performers simply haven't discovered the joy of learning. Once they do, they're on their way to becoming top students!

Seventy percent of the questions on the test were familiar ones they had encountered before. Fong's approach to setting questions was far too lax.

Liu Ying watched Yan Xin furiously scribbling away and shook her head in resignation. The only time he had ever taken a test seriously was in his freshman year, when he doodled all over the biology exam.

It looked like he was planning to turn his test paper into another canvas today.

Yan Xin breezed through the exam in under thirty minutes, then staggered up to the podium to drop off his paper. Returning to his desk, he promptly slumped down and fell asleep.

His classmates didn't bat an eye at Yan Xin's behavior; after all, he was known for submitting his tests within five minutes.

But Fong Guode saw things differently.

Upon reviewing Yan Xin's test, Fong was astounded.

Yan Xin had answered every single question correctly, without a single mistake.

His answers were neatly organized, and for some questions, he had even provided two or three different solutions!

Soon after, the top student in the class, Zhang Ze, also submitted his test to the front.

To avoid causing a stir among the students, Fong Guode quietly approached the slumbering Yan Xin and whispered, "Wake up! Did you write all these answers yourself?"

"Yeah! What, you think Liu Ying took the test for me?" Yan Xin replied, bleary-eyed.

Liu Ying gave Yan Xin an exasperated eye roll, convinced he must have bombed the test again and was now mocking her.

"Why did you do so well on the test today?" Fong Guode pressed, voice low.

"I don't want to become an auto repair worker after graduation like my parents want, so I decided to buckle down and study," Yan Xin replied with a nonchalant shrug.

Of course, Yan Xin wasn't about to reveal his secret system!

Seeing Yan Xin's earnest expression, Fong Guode didn't press further. He walked back to the podium and announced, "This time, only Yan Xin and Zhang Ze turned in their papers early, and..."

The entire class set down their pens, eager to hear the suspense Fong was about to unveil.

"They all scored perfectly!" Fong Guode knew that once he spoke, the room would erupt, but the fact remained: Yan Xin had achieved full marks.

"What?"

"Am I hearing things? Yan Xin got a perfect score?"

"Did he cheat or something?"

"No way! The questions were all over the place this time. Even if he tried to cheat, half an hour wouldn't cut it!"

"Dude, grab some chalk and hit me with it! Hit me hard!"

That remark left the entire senior class in stunned silence, with Yan Xin at the center of it all!

Congratulations to the host for acing the quiz, a reward of 20 points!

Congratulations to the host for earning the teacher's praise, a reward of 10 points!

At that moment, Yan Xin was basking in the glory of the system's gratifying notifications, oblivious to Zhang Ze's sour expression.

Traditionally, Zhang Ze had always been top of the class, no matter the test. And now, he shared his top spot with Yan Xin?

The shame of it!

An immense shame!

He must have cheated!

Little did Yan Xin know, this minor quiz had sparked such resentment in Zhang Ze.

After class, in the teacher's office.

"Mr. Fong, are you absolutely certain you didn't mix up the papers? Yan Xin and I scored the same?" Zhang Ze inquired, fixing his gaze on Fong Guode.

Fong Guode certainly had no intention of crossing the influential figure before him.

Zhang Ze's uncle was the vice principal. Though just a vice principal, his family had significant clout and connections in Y City.

Plus, Zhang Ze was a stellar student, which usually meant he could do as he pleased around the school.

"Do you really think I'd favor an underperforming student?" Fong Guode replied with a wry smile.

"How could he possibly score as high as me?"

The other teachers in the office could sense Zhang Ze's envy but kept quiet. A few bad words from him to his father, and they'd be in deep trouble.

"Perhaps he just lucked out and had seen the questions before. The final mock exam will reveal his true level, won't it?" Fong Guode said, shrugging.

Zhang Ze had to admit, Mr. Fong had a point.

In today's world, power truly holds significant importance for an individual.
