C19 If You Want to Add Insult to Injury Then Prepare to be Punished!!

Shortly thereafter, Lin Feng made his way to Shi Po's room. There, Shi Po was propped up on the bed, with Liu Yan attentively looking after him.

"Thank you!" Shi Po managed a wry smile. Truth be told, he felt like a broken man, yet Liu Yan continued to treat him with the kindness of a true friend, which deeply moved him.

Just then, the door swung open and Lin Feng entered.

Hope sparked in Shi Po's eyes the instant he saw Lin Feng.

"Take this quickly!" Lin Feng said, handing over the medicinal herb to Shi Po.

Shi Po's hands shook with excitement as he gazed at the vibrant green herb, sensing the potent life force within it.

Without hesitation, Shi Po tilted his head back and swallowed all three herbs. Soon after, a soothing warmth spread from his belly throughout his body.

Meanwhile, Liu Yan watched Lin Feng with a shimmer in her eyes. After a moment's pause, she bit her lip and ventured, "Lin Feng, did you really...?"

Mm-hmm!

Lin Feng nodded subtly, understanding the question Liu Yan was too hesitant to ask. There were no secrets between friends.

Despite her anticipation, Liu Yan's body involuntarily shuddered at his confirmation, her mind reeling with astonishment. As a disciple of the Sunfire Order, she was acutely aware of what venturing into the Severing Soul Cliff entailed—a place fraught with peril that could either catapult one to great heights or plunge them into the depths.

Shi Po, a man of few words, wasn't one for expressing gratitude, but he would never forget the debt he owed to Lin Feng.

In a world that idolized strength, individuals like Lin Feng were a rare breed. For the sake of a friend, he had braved the Severing Soul Cliff alone with the formidable power of the ninth Qi Sea level, sharing the spoils of his daring feat.

Approximately the time it takes an incense stick to burn had passed when color returned to Shi Po's ashen face, his broken bones and tendons visibly mending.

"This medicine is truly remarkable!" Feng exhaled in relief, having been worried that Shi Po's injuries were too severe for even the medicinal herb to heal.

"Alright, I need to step out for a bit, Liu Yan, please take care of Shi Po," Lin Feng said as he handed the remaining medicine to Liu Yan with a generous gesture. "Here's some more. If it's not enough, make sure he takes it all!"

"Understood!" Liu Yan nodded emphatically as Lin Feng swiftly exited the room. Watching his hurried departure, Liu Yan couldn't help but furrow her brow in concern.

Guided by Tao Mo Lin, Lin Feng made his way to the Platform of Life and Death. Upon his arrival, all the disciples turned to stare at him with inscrutable looks in their eyes.

Lin Feng had a sinking feeling that this was not a good sign.

"Sect Master, Elders, I have brought the person you requested," announced Tao Mo Lin, bowing respectfully.

The group acknowledged him with nods. Lin Feng's face registered shock; he couldn't fathom what had transpired to warrant the presence of the sect master and the Great Elder. Even more astonishing was the unexpected presence of Lin Mei within the Sunfire Order, which was utterly baffling.

"Lin Feng, you've got quite the nerve!" Ye Xian said coldly, eyeing Lin Feng with disdain.

Confused, Lin Feng shook his head and replied, "Elder Ye, what have I done wrong?"

"What have you done wrong? You, a junior, dared to challenge your elders and harm your own kin. Your presence here only serves to tarnish the Sunfire Order's reputation. Today, by the authority vested in me as the Disciplinary Elder, I hereby expel you from the sect!" Ye Xian declared, his tone laced with feigned righteousness. To divert suspicion, he had no choice but to resort to this measure, delivering Lin Feng into Lin Mei's hands for her to dispose of as she pleased.

Lin Feng remained silent, though his mind was racing with thoughts about the unfolding situation.

"Lost for words, are we?" Ye Xian pressed on, seizing the moment.

Lin Feng let out a cold laugh, yet his gaze remained unflinching as he faced Ye Xian. "Elder Ye, I'm merely an Outer Sect disciple. If you say I'm guilty, does that make it so?"

Ye Xian's face contorted with anger. Lin Feng's seemingly calm retort had effectively put Ye Xian in the hot seat, insinuating that he was unfairly targeting Outer Sect disciples to curry favor with the Kong Ling Sect.

"What a sharp tongue you have. I was inclined to show you leniency because you're a disciple of the Sunfire Order, but it seems you're set in your ways. I can't let you live after today!"

"Really? Elder Ye Fu seems to embody fairness. When you're eager to find a crime, any excuse will do. If you want to kick me out of the sect, any flimsy reason would suffice. Why bother with such righteous indignation?" Lin Feng was utterly fearless.

It was clear that today's events were targeting him. Whether he faced the situation head-on or tried to avoid it, the outcome would be the same. With that in mind, why should he debase himself?

Yet, his bold words sent a shockwave through the other disciples. Ye Fu held a high position within the Sunfire Order, and few would dare to publicly challenge him over such baseless charges as Lin Feng had.

"Goodness, this guy seems to have a death wish!"

"Right? We're in for quite the spectacle!"

"Tsk tsk, isn't life precious?"

On this continent, sects were as common as blades of grass, but the powerful ones ruled over their territories, commanding respect from nations far and wide. Inside these sects, competition was fierce, with members going to any lengths to grow stronger. At the bottom were the Outer Sect disciples. To put it nicely, they were disciples; bluntly, they were lab rats. Only upon entering the Inner Sect would they gain recognition, above which were the Outer Sect Elders and Inner Sect Elders.

The status of an Inner Sect Elder was second only to the Sect Master and the Great Elder, making it as easy for them to crush an Outer Sect disciple as it would be to squash an ant.

At that moment, Ye Fu was radiating an intense spiritual energy that bore down on Lin Feng. Under this immense pressure, Lin Feng couldn't help but stagger back, feeling as if his body was being pierced by needles.

"Tao Mo Lin, what is the punishment for insubordination within the sect?" Ye Fu demanded coldly.

"Elder, the punishment is to break his limbs and cast him out of the sect!" Tao Mo Lin answered, a vicious glint in his eye.

He was eager to watch Lin Feng crawl out of here like a dog before being killed by Lin Mei.

"Hmm," Ye Fu nodded and remarked, "The heavens are merciful. I prefer not to stoop to the level of a junior. I'll break his limbs but preserve his cultivation as a concession to the sect."

Ye Fu's decision was cruel in its own right. For cultivators, broken limbs could heal within days. Yet, by doing this, Lin Feng would be forced to crawl out like a dog, a move that would not only showcase Ye Fu's own largesse but also ensure Lin Feng died in utter humiliation.

In the martial world, strength commanded respect, and the weak had no voice, subject to the whims of the powerful. Naturally, should the weak perish, there would be no one to mourn them. Such was the plight of those without power.

However, the Sunfire Order Sect Master alone watched Lin Feng with a pensive gaze. Any other disciple would have been petrified, incapable of such forceful defense, let alone pleading for mercy.

Lin Feng's arguments were coherent and well-reasoned. Despite his disadvantaged position, he maintained his dignity, a testament to a character that few could match.

Noticing the Sect Master's expression, Lin Feng's spirits lifted, sensing an opportunity for a turnaround.

Although currently lacking in strength, Lin Feng knew that demonstrating sufficient potential would likely keep the Sunfire Order Sect Master from abandoning him.

Of course, Lin Feng would never disclose the events within the Iron Tower unless absolutely necessary. Yet, this secret also served as a powerful amulet within the sect.

As Lin Feng pondered his next move, Tao Mo Lin approached him with contempt, saying, "Kid, your blood reeks. I won't sully my clothes with it. You'd better handle it yourself."

"Hehe, if you're reluctant, perhaps you should assist me," Lin Feng said with a slight smile, instinctively stepping back.

Tao Mo Lin, mistaking Lin Feng's retreat for fear, burst into mocking laughter. "To kill someone like you would be to tarnish my sword!"

As Tao Mo Lin charged at Lin Feng with his long sword drawn, he was intent on using his Origin Energy to secure a victory. Unfortunately, he had miscalculated.

Lin Feng stood his ground, motionless, his eyes fixed on Tao Mo Lin with the intensity of a hawk.

"Has the kid been scared out of his wits? I believe so. Senior Tao is among the top ten experts of the Outer Sect. It won't be long before he's promoted to the Inner Sect. His prospects are boundless!"

"Exactly, how dare such a nobody challenge Senior Tao!"

"I think he's just looking for a swift end to avoid a drawn-out torture."

Amidst the murmurs from the crowd, Tao Mo Lin swelled with pride. But as he closed in on Lin Feng, a mere few feet away, Lin Feng unleashed his sword strike.

Using only Spiritual Qi, Lin Feng's move was anticipated to end in a bloody spectacle. Instead, the audience was stunned as Tao Mo Lin's sword was knocked from his grasp, and Lin Feng remained unshakable as a mountain.

A terrible scream followed; Tao Mo Lin's arm was obliterated into a cloud of blood, the stench of iron filling the air, leaving the onlookers in utter shock.

Tao Mo Lin was at the pinnacle of the ninth level of the Qi Sea, barely a step away from the Astral Sea Realm. His exceptional talent placed him at the top of the Qi Sea Realm, justifying his rank among the top ten disciples.

The Sect Master of the Sunfire Order narrowed his eyes. Lin Feng's mastery over Spiritual Qi was so refined that had he exerted even a fraction more force, Tao Mo Lin would have been slain instantly.

Such precise control was unheard of, surpassing the capabilities of those in the Astral Sea Realm, let alone the Qi Sea Realm.

Lin Mei, observing from the sidelines, furrowed her brow but remained relentless in her scorn: "A dog will always be a dog. No matter how it struggles, it remains nothing more than a beast."

Ye Fu's face was a mask of ice. The affront was a blatant insult. Were it not for his status, he would have intervened. Regardless, in his eyes, Lin Feng was as good as dead.
