C15 Thinking of the Perfect Method
Shen Faang was tirelessly searching for the perfect plan, hoping to devise a good strategy soon so that everyone could escape from their current predicament without further pursuit by the zombies. Yet, as of now, he was at a loss for what to do. The many ordeals he had faced had drained him physically, leaving him without the strength to think clearly, which made him feel incredibly uneasy. He was uncertain about how he would manage to come up with a plan shortly.
Amidst his various thoughts, Shen Faang addressed the group, "Everyone, be quiet. If you want to get out of here alive, then provide me with some peace and quiet so I can think. Only then can I devise the perfect plan. Otherwise, we're all going to die here." Upon hearing Shen Faang's command, there were no objections.
They all recognized that Shen Faang was the only one capable of devising a viable solution, so they refrained from speaking further. They understood that any further discussion would be futile since Shen Faang's decision was final and beyond their influence.
Thus, the people there remained silent, hoping to foster a conducive atmosphere for Shen Faang's thought process. They knew that their chances of survival hinged on this. Shen Faang was acutely aware of the gravity of his task at hand.
He continued to ponder various strategies to combat the zombies, hoping to soon find a solution to tackle the monsters outside. They would only be able to reach safety and avoid another zombie chase if they could defeat these creatures. Otherwise, their chances of escaping today seemed bleak.
Suddenly, Shen Faang noticed an electrical switch and decided to use it against the monsters outside. He was convinced that utilizing the electricity was the only way to overcome the monsters, as he alone did not have the strength to defeat the zombies. This was a fact he was acutely aware of.
Without further discussion or explanation to those around him, Shen Faang made his way upstairs. The others were left in the dark about his intentions, except for Wang Mengyan, who followed him, knowing that Shen Faang had saved her life earlier. She understood the urgency of the situation and knew that she had to support Shen Faang in this critical moment, even though she was unsure of what the future held.
He refrained from saying more and made his way upstairs, confident that he and Shen Faang would be able to devise a perfect solution when the time came.
Upon reaching the top, Shen Faang found that pulling the cables required a great deal of strength. These cables were needed to electrocute the zombies below. Otherwise, they wouldn't make it out alive today. But his strength was waning; he had already exhausted himself and lacked any viable method to manipulate the cables.
In the midst of his difficulty, unsure of what to do, Wang Mengyan unexpectedly sought him out. Shen Faang had assumed she was still downstairs, embroiled in an argument, trying to figure out who had led them to this dire situation. Yet, to his surprise, in the next moment, he found Mengyan sitting beside him, a comforting presence.
Shen Faang glanced at Mengyan and asked, "Why are you here?"
Without elaborating, Mengyan smiled at Shen Faang and replied, "If you can be here, why can't I? I owe you my thanks for saving my life earlier. Otherwise, I wouldn't even know where I'd be right now."
Shen Faang didn't dwell on the conversation; time was of the essence. He needed to quickly get those cables upstairs. Only then could they stun the creatures below and have a chance of getting out alive.
Turning to Mengyan, Shen Faang said, "Our top priority is to use the electric saw to incapacitate the monsters downstairs. So let's hurry and pull these cables up. It's our only shot at a quick escape."
Mengyan, understanding the gravity of the situation, didn't utter another word. She knew this was their best option. Together, she and Shen Faang headed to the building's entrance to retrieve the heavy cables.
As they reached for the cables, Shen Faang and Mengyan's hands brushed against each other. The warmth between them made Mengyan feel as though an electric current was coursing through her body.
He refrained from saying much, as both he and Shen Faang were acutely aware of the challenges they had overcome to get to this point. Their recent ordeal had rapidly intensified their feelings for one another, and they had both developed a mutual affection.
However, they knew that now was not the time to explore these feelings. They were both keenly aware that they needed to devise a flawless strategy to combat the zombies. The most pressing task at hand was to haul the cables upstairs.
Working together, they put their all into pulling the cables up in the hopes of electrocuting the zombies as quickly as possible. This was their only chance to make it out alive.
Shen Faang looked at Wang Mengyan and encouraged her, "Mengyan, we've got to give it our all. If we can just get these cables up to the roof, we'll be able to escape soon. Once we're out, I believe our relationship will only grow stronger."
Wang Mengyan was at a loss for words in response to Shen Faang's declaration, but she understood that his willingness to speak so openly meant he was fully prepared for what lay ahead.
Without further ado, she joined Shen Faang in confronting the monstrous threat. Together, they managed to get the cables up to the roof. Their hard work paid off, and the success filled them with a rush of excitement.
They hadn't anticipated that their persistence would pay off so handsomely, and it was a pleasant surprise that they were able to transport the cables from one side to the other.
