C3 Grandfather Why Did You Hit Me
Du Tianhao was momentarily stunned. A half-million yuan scholarship? An eighteen-year-old nurse? Were all these really offered by that so-called loser?
Impossible! Ying had insisted he was nothing but a penniless nobody, with no money or family connections!
"Why run?" he asked, his face a picture of confusion.
No sooner had the words left his mouth than Soong Qingfeng, who had risen to his feet, barked out a cold command, "You little punk, I'm going to break your legs today!"
In that instant, Soong Qingfeng's presence intensified, his eyes blazing like the sun in a clear sky. His left hand morphed into a tiger's claw as he leapt forward, landing before Du Tianhao and Ying, his overwhelming presence descending like an emperor from the heavens!
Overcome by Soong Qingfeng's formidable aura, Du Tianhao and Ying's legs buckled, and they crumpled to the ground.
How could this be? This old man's aura was far from elderly—it screamed of a battle-hardened Dragon King!
What was a master of this caliber doing here as a student to a nobody like Yang Chao?
A flicker of shock crossed Ying's eyes. Had Yang Chao struck it rich?
No... it couldn't be. He was just a poor loser. She was certain she hadn't misjudged him.
Panic-stricken, Ying cried out, "Tianhao, where is your grandfather? Why hasn't he arrived?"
Du Tianhao, still reeling, had been utterly floored by Yang Chao's scholarship revelation. Now, coming to his senses and confronted with the formidable Soong Qingfeng, his face went white with fear.
"This can't be happening! You must have deceived this expert with some underhanded trick!" Du Tianhao accused, pointing at Yang Chao.
He had come to flaunt his status with his girlfriend by his side; how could Yang Chao turn the tables on him like this?
"Just wait, my grandfather will be here any minute, and then your petty schemes will be exposed!" Du Tianhao declared, his voice sharp as he scrambled to the safety of a corner, his complexion ashen.
Recalling his grandfather's advice, he hastily retrieved the Sound-transmitting Jade, a gift from the elder of the Du family, given out of concern that his sole grandson might face adversity while away from home.
Whenever Du Tianhao faced danger, his grandfather could sense his location from anywhere and hurry to his aid.
His grandfather had warned him only to use it in a true emergency! But at this moment, the old man seemed ready to rip him to shreds.
Trembling, Du Tianhao clutched the Sound-transmitting Jade and cried out, "Grandfather, come quick! I'm in peril. This good-for-nothing is trying to have his student off me!"
"No, don't!" Ying watched Soong Qingfeng draw nearer with each step and shrieked in terror.
"Hold on!" Yang Chao interjected, his gaze fixed on the Sound-transmitting Jade as he approached.
Soong Qingfeng halted and looked back at him, puzzled.
"What's the matter, sir?"
Yang Chao scrutinized the unique Sound-transmitting Jade, a sense of recognition dawning on him. Hadn't he seen this object somewhere before?
"Who gave you this Sound-transmitting Jade?" he inquired.
Seizing the shift in momentum, Du Tianhao quickly regained his composure, rose to his feet, and scoffed, "Scared, are you? You're pathetic! This is a precious gift from my grandfather. You've probably never laid eyes on such a thing!"
"Prepare to meet your end! I've sent our location to my grandfather. Once he arrives, your doom is sealed!"
Yang Chao's brow furrowed as he racked his brain, trying to place where he had encountered the Sound-transmitting Jade before.
Since his arrival in this world, the flood of new experiences had made it hard to keep track of everything.
Meanwhile, Soong Qingfeng, assuming Yang Chao was wary of the Sound-transmitting Jade's owner, wondered if the person behind it was some formidable recluse, a hidden master of sorts.
The other elders rose, their faces set with gravity.
Should a formidable adversary appear, they were resolved to stand with their class monitor, united in fate.
"Frightened yet? I am the legitimate heir of the wealthiest family in East Sea City. What chance do you paupers have against me? Await your demise. Once my grandfather arrives, you're all finished!" Du Tianhao boasted with wild laughter.
Ying's features softened, a wave of relief washing over her. Indeed, Du Tianhao proved far superior to Yang Chao. Her judgment had been spot on.
"Sir, should we eliminate this kid now to keep him quiet?" proposed an old man with a menacing look.
Du Tianhao and Ying's faces paled, their legs turning to jelly once more.
Yang Chao shook his head, remarking, "After all the time we've lost today, we might as well meet this wealthy grandfather. I'm curious to see if he's someone from my past."
Just then, a formidable figure soared across the sky outside the window. Radiating an overwhelming presence, the figure was enveloped in a swirling red energy, charging forward like a bolt of crimson lightning, making the very heavens and earth seem to part before him.
The red lightning dominated the sky! It was an extraordinary display of power!
The six old men watched with sinking hearts. Anyone who could fly and conjure such celestial phenomena was no ordinary foe.
A flicker of recognition crossed Yang Chao's eyes as he seemed to recall the identity of the approaching figure.
Du Tianhao, catching sight of the spectacle, was ecstatic, calling out, "Grandfather, I'm here! Your grandson is right here!"
The red lightning surged closer, bringing a massive wave of energy that threatened to shatter the classroom windows.
Soong Qingfeng braced for impact, readying himself for a formidable opponent.
With a thunderous crash, the red lightning shattered the glass and transformed into a figure that skidded to a halt on the floor. In moments, the classroom was in disarray, furniture scattered by the force of his arrival.
Yang Chao frowned at the chaos.
"Watch out, sir!" Soong Qingfeng swiftly shielded Yang Chao, eyeing the newcomer with caution.
A beaming Du Tianhao exclaimed, "Grandfather, you've arrived at last. Help me get revenge; they were the ones who threatened me!"
But as tensions peaked, the crimson figure, too breathless to speak, delivered three resounding slaps to Du Tianhao.
The room fell silent in confusion. What was happening? Why attack his own grandson first?
It wasn't until the red energy dissipated that the onlookers could see clearly: the arrival was an old man, disheveled and battered. His hair, tossed by fierce winds, was in complete disarray, and his face bore the fresh cuts of glass, from which blood trickled down.
Surprise flickered in everyone's eyes. What was happening? For a master, such unseemly behavior should have been easily avoided. Why then did this elder appear so disheveled?
"Du Tianhao! You are no grandson of mine. Have you lost your mind?!" Du Changsheng bellowed, his hand still stinging from the force of the slaps he had delivered.
The power behind those three slaps was immense, leaving Du Tianhao with tears and snot streaming down his face, his cheek swollen and distorted.
In a mix of shock and tears, he stammered, "Grandfather, why did you strike me?!"
