C11 Don't You Know How to be Light with Your Actions?!!

At the base of Wudang Mountain, Lin Yuanjian and his disciple Zhang Wuji were ready to embark on their journey, traveling light.

Yin Liting and Mo Shenggu came in person to bid them farewell.

"Wuji, you've only just returned and now you're leaving again. Your Sixth Martial Uncle will truly miss you," Yin Liting said, his voice tinged with reluctance.

"Wuji, the six major sects and the Bright Cult are at each other's throats. Even though the White-browed Eagle King is your grandfather, you must remain vigilant when you visit the Celestial Eagle Cult," Mo Shenggu advised with concern, aware of Zhang Wuji's purpose for descending the mountain.

"Rest assured, Seventh Martial Uncle. I will proceed with caution," Zhang Wuji assured him.

Yin Liting offered a comforting smile. "With Mr. Lin by your side, Wuji, you're sure to be in safe hands."

"Then I entrust Wuji to you, Mr. Lin," Mo Shenggu said.

Lin Yuanjian nodded. "There's no need to worry. Wuji will be in good hands."

"We'll say our goodbyes here. Safe travels, Mr. Lin, Wuji," Yin Liting said, bowing slightly.

"Take care as well, Martial Uncles," Zhang Wuji replied.

Just then, a figure swiftly approached from the mountain path, arriving before them in the blink of an eye.

Upon recognizing the newcomer, Yin Liting exclaimed in surprise, "Master, what brings you here?"

The arrival was none other than Zhang Sanfeng, clad in a Taoist robe and exuding an air of wisdom.

"I've taken quite a liking to Daoist Lin and wished to see him off," Zhang Sanfeng explained.

Lin Yuanjian smiled warmly. "Taoist Zhang, your aura has grown stronger. Your cultivation seems to have advanced."

Zhang Sanfeng's laughter boomed. "I have you to thank for that." His strength had been steadily climbing since mastering the perfect version of the Pure Yang Limitless Technique.

The two conversed with the ease of old friends, yet none could see the deep respect and gratitude Zhang Sanfeng held for Lin Yuanjian.

Yin Liting and Mo Shenggu listened in awe, realizing their master held Lin Yuanjian in high regard. It appeared their master had even received valuable guidance from Lin Yuanjian, enhancing his own cultivation.

"Here is Wudang's Golden Injury Medicine. Take it with you, Wuji," Zhang Sanfeng said, handing several small porcelain bottles to Zhang Wuji.

"Thank you, Grandmaster," Zhang Wuji gratefully responded.

Lin Yuanjian addressed the trio, "After accompanying you for a thousand miles, the time has come to part ways. Farewell, Taoist Zhang, Yin Liting, and Mo Shenggu."

"May your journey be smooth, Daoist Lin," Zhang Sanfeng said, watching them depart.

"Master, what are your thoughts on this man?" Mo Shenggu inquired quietly.

Zhang Sanfeng offered a cryptic reply, "The summit of the clouds is untouchable, the ocean's depths unreachable."

Yin Liting and Mo Shenggu were taken aback by such high praise from Zhang Sanfeng, a testament to Lin Yuanjian's exceptional standing.

Zhang Sanfeng stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Li Ting, Sheng Gu, you've witnessed his capabilities. I hold him in high esteem. Henceforth, Wudang should seek friendship, not enmity, with him."

Both Yin Liting and Mo Shenggu nodded in agreement.

The Celestial Eagle Cult's main altar was situated in Sichuan, and for Lin Yuanjian and Zhang Wuji, traveling there from Wudang Mountain wasn't particularly far given their abilities. Since they weren't pressed for time, they took the liberty of slowing their pace.

Throughout their journey, Lin Yuanjian bore witness to the turmoil of the times: displaced commoners, oppressive imperial levies, and the Han suffering under the brutal Mongol Yuan rule. Rebellions sparked like wildfires across the land, and Zhang Wuji's resolve to topple the imperial court only grew stronger.

As dusk approached, after traversing rugged mountains, they reached the northern Sichuan road and spotted a city ahead. "Master, night is falling," suggested Zhang Wuji. "Let's rest in the city tonight and continue to the Celestial Eagle Cult in the morning."

"That sounds good," agreed Lin Yuanjian.

The city outskirts were deserted, and the interior was bleak. Shops were shuttered, and only homeless beggars roamed the streets. They struggled to find an inn, and when they did, the innkeeper refused to open up, claiming he was closed for business, which left the pair quite frustrated.

Lin Yuanjian sighed, "You've seen how things are these past few days. The imperial hounds and the rebels are locked in endless strife, countless innocents caught in the crossfire. The people struggle to survive, and at night, they're too afraid to even conduct business. Let's just find any place to stay overnight, Wuji."

"Yes, Master," Zhang Wuji replied earnestly. "I will do everything in my power to secure a peaceful and prosperous time for all."

Lin Yuanjian spoke thoughtfully, "The Bright Cult is now the leading resistance against the Yuan. If united, bringing down this teetering court won't be difficult. Wuji, the upcoming siege by the six major sects against the Bright Cult is your chance to ascend as its leader. You have the lineage as the White-browed Eagle King's grandson and the martial prowess unmatched by many. What you need now is to earn the unwavering loyalty of the Bright Cult's followers."

Zhang Wuji had an epiphany, "Master, are you suggesting I intervene during the Bright Cult's time of crisis?"

"Exactly," confirmed Lin Yuanjian.

"But that doesn't seem honorable," Zhang Wuji hesitated, concerned that such a plan might seem too calculated.

Lin Yuanjian clapped him on the shoulder, "Cast aside these so-called gentlemanly codes. Taking up the cause of saving the people is the mark of a true gentleman and a man of honor."

Zhang Wuji was filled with admiration. "Master, your foresight is unparalleled. I have been naive. I will take your teachings to heart and act upon them."

Lin Yuanjian smiled, "Well said, my good disciple. Let's be on our way."

As they left the city gates, a commotion erupted in the distance. "Hey, little Emei Sect lady, don't run! Stop and let me have my fun!"

A woman in white dashed frantically toward them from the end of the street.

Zhang Wuji gasped, "It's Sister Bei from the Emei Sect!"

Lin Yuanjian narrowed his eyes. "Looks like they've run into trouble."

"Darn, how is Sister Zhiruo faring?" Zhang Wuji was consumed with worry.

"Ha! Tonight I shall take on three!" The old man's laughter echoed as he lunged at Bei Jinyi with lecherous intent, swift as lightning.

Bei Jinyi let out a shriek and collapsed to the ground, while the old man cackled, reaching his gnarled hand toward her waist and hips.

"Stop right there!" Zhang Wuji bellowed.

Relief washed over Bei Jinyi at the sight. "Young Master Zhang, Hero Lin, save me!"

The old man paused, then flew into a rage. "Who's this kid? Scram if you don't want to die, and don't ruin my fun."

"Deer Staff Guest, it's you, you old scoundrel!" Zhang Wuji's recognition fueled his fury.

With haughty pride, the Deer Staff Guest taunted, "You know of me and still dare to interfere?"

"Zhiruo and Senior Sister Ding are still at this old villain's mercy. Hurry, save them!" Bei Jinyi urged frantically.

In a blur, Zhang Wuji's silhouette darted forward, unleashing a fierce palm strike at the Deer Staff Guest.

"Damn you, seeking death? I'll oblige! Mysterious Divine Palm!" Chilling energy burst forth from the Deer Staff Guest's palm, the air temperature plummeting in the immediate vicinity.

"Wuji, go easy," Lin Yuanjian advised as he helped Bei Jinyi to her feet, "Remember, we don't want them dead," he called out.
