C1 !

In a classroom at Starfall Academy, a teacher was in the midst of a lecture. Below the podium, a boy was whispering a joke to the girl seated next to him.

The girl had a slightly round face and appeared to be around sixteen or seventeen, with a sweet and adorable look. Her short hair framed her face, yet couldn't hide her natural beauty.

At that moment, she was trying to suppress her giggles, her face turning a bright shade of red as she covered it with her hand.

"At Starfall Academy, we have a wealth of talent. Here, your family background doesn't matter; if you have the skills, you can shine! In the future, you'll realize that this is your fairest moment! The moment you should value the most! Not a time for whispering secrets!" the teacher exclaimed from the podium, sending a piece of chalk flying straight at the boy's head, eliciting laughter throughout the room.

"That's Chen Xing, the good-for-nothing, right?"

"He never seems to learn his lesson."

"Driven by his desires, he brazenly flirted with Charstand's prodigious disciple, Yang Liu Mei, plunging his family into chaos. His once-rising family is now in ruins, and yet he still hasn't learned his lesson!"

Despite the jeers and taunts, Chen Xing remained unfazed.

The bell signaling the end of class rang out.

"Class dismissed!" announced the teacher, exiting the room.

Chen Xing turned back to his classmate, gently taking her hand in his, "The world is vast, and wandering too far brings worries. Why not come home with me instead? My family has some standing. I'll take care of you in the future."

The girl's cheeks flushed. "But you already have a fiancée."

Chen Xing's fiancée, Liu Cheng, was well-known throughout Starfall Academy. She was the pride of the Traessey branch, a true gem.

It was said that her father had been saved by Chen Xing's father, Chen Fushou, during a time of great need and had never forgotten the kindness. Out of gratitude, he had agreed to the marriage. Now, Liu Cheng's father was a prominent merchant in Traessey, even collaborating with Charstand. His daughter was exceptionally gifted, possessing both earth and wood Soul Seeds, and her prospects were boundless.

The entire Starfall Academy was abuzz with the news of one lucky individual who had become the fiancé of the campus beauty, Liu Cheng. Envy and watchful eyes followed him everywhere.

"It's fine. I don't really care for her," Chen Xing said with a light chuckle, his gaze earnest and focused on the girl before him as if he had just mentioned something trivial.

The girl blushed even deeper.

Amidst the growing warmth of their exchange, a handsome man approached.

"Chen Xing! The classroom is no place for your lecherous antics! Let go of Yu Han's hand this instant!"

The man, Lee Qing, was the class's disciplinary committee member. But beyond these walls, he was the heir to the Lee family in Traessey, the esteemed Young Master Lee! The Lee family's influence in Traessey was nearly on par with the Liu family's, marking him as a true scion of nobility.

The Chen family, while not without their own influence, held modest sway only in Water Blue Town, a subsidiary of Traessey, and could hardly compare to the Lee family's prominence.

"Young Master Lee has spoken!"

"That's right! We can't let this Casanova wreak havoc on our academy's young women. Yan Yu Han is our class's second beauty, and I've had a crush on her for ages!"

"Young Master Lee is so dashing!"

Cheers erupted from the surrounding students. Lee Qing, with his cultivation at the seventh level of Body Tempering, was a standout even at Starfall Academy. He was a favorite to reach the Guide Spirit stage before turning 25, a feat that made him quite popular on campus.

Entering Guide Spirit at an earlier age meant greater potential for one's cultivation. The age of 25 was a critical milestone; those who advanced to Guide Spirit after this age faced significantly reduced potential. Without an extraordinary stroke of luck, overtaking the cultivation pace of those who had gone before was nearly impossible. Many never crossed this threshold in their lifetime, remaining ordinary and forever disconnected from the path of cultivation.

Hearing the cheers of his classmates, Lee Qing couldn't help but lift his head a little higher in pride.

In stark contrast stood Chen Xing, who had only reached the second level of Body Tempering. It seemed nearly impossible for him to achieve the Guide Spirit Realm before turning 25. He was at the bottom of the class, utterly worthless.

Chen Xing shot him a glance and began to clap.

"Bravo! Bravo! Spoken with such conviction! You don't sound at all like someone who meddles in others' affairs for no good reason."

"Who are you calling a meddler?"

Lee Qing was instantly furious. How dare this nobody call him out?

"If you're not a meddler, then what are you? Tell me, in what way are you not?"

The onlookers couldn't contain their laughter at Chen Xing's retort. Lee Qing, so incensed he could only laugh, thought the young man was only embarrassing himself.

"Well then, let me enlighten you to the harsh reality," Lee Qing said, adjusting his attire.

"Unlike you, I am a formidable Body Tempering Seventh Layer expert, with a bright future of entering the Guide Spirit realm before 25. My potential is boundless, and I am destined to ascend to the pinnacle of the world's mightiest!"

"Wow, that's impressive!" Chen Xing clapped even more enthusiastically, then added with a hint of sarcasm, "As impressive as a dragon?"

Lee Qing's breath hitched. This was a provocation! How could anyone compare to a dragon?

Dragons were once the apex of all creatures, possessing bodies so strong that not even the full force of a Spirit King could break them. Their spirits were even more formidable. What human could ever rival a dragon?

"You're well aware of the Lee family's standing in Traessey. Though I prefer not to leverage my family's influence, our wealth is sufficient to acquire eight families like yours!" Lee Qing said, looking down on Chen Xing.

"Do dragons have wealth?" Chen Xing asked innocently, batting his eyelashes.

Lee Qing huffed, too annoyed to argue. In the ancient times when dragons reigned supreme, they were the sovereigns of all. History books claim that dragons hoarded treasures, collecting every conceivable valuable. Arguing about it was pointless—who could ever match the wealth of a dragon?

The Lee family is thriving, boasting over a thousand servants! And that's not even counting the temporary workers and the regular staff. Our messenger system is the fastest, with spirit animals like eagles and birds that can transport messages a hundred times quicker than your average pigeons!"

"Do the dragons have many spirit pets?" This time, Chen Xing's gaze was filled with contempt, as if all these matters were as insignificant as dust and not even worth mentioning.

"What do dragons have to do with you? It's common knowledge that, a hundred thousand years ago, even humans served under them! The most revered spirit animals, known as God Beasts, were their spirit pets. But what are you in comparison?"

Lee Qing couldn't contain himself any longer. These were the magnificent tales of dragons, yet here was Chen Xing, acting as if he had some claim to them.

Chen Xing suddenly rose to his feet, seizing Lee Qing by the collar. His eyes, bright and swirling like vortexes, deepened to the darkness of a black hole.

Lee Qing's heart felt as though it was in a vice, his breathing inexplicably labored, with not even a flicker of resistance in him.

"I am a dragon!"

...

The classroom bell rang, but the class was abuzz with talk of the recent confrontation, particularly Lee Qing.

His cheeks burned with humiliation and frustration. How could he, a genius at the seventh level of Body Tempering, be overpowered and left sitting on the ground in fear by Chen Xing, a mere second-level Body Tempering practitioner?

His pride was shattered.

He seethed with rage.

"Chen Xing, you'll regret this. I'll make sure you pay!"

...

Meanwhile, Chen Xing wasn't preoccupied with such thoughts.

He gazed out the window, idly twirling his pen, intrigued by the view. He truly was a dragon from a hundred thousand years past.

The Nagas relished combat and strength, but he was a dragon who preferred leisure. Perhaps it was his indolence that drew the attention of many female dragons, always graced with their presence and dancing alongside them.

Fortunately, he didn't perish. Incredibly, he awoke within the body of a young man in Aqua Blue Town, part of the Purple Wind Empire!

Yet, this awakening came after a staggering hundred thousand years!

A hundred thousand years later, the empire of the Nagas had vanished, and the Sky Dragon Continent had been transformed into a world dominated by humans, now known as the Udrealor Continent. The once magnificent Nagas had completely disappeared, leaving no trace behind.

He might very well be the last dragon in the world!

Why had the Nagas, once so mighty and preeminent among all races, vanished?

What was the true history behind their disappearance?

What conspiracy lay hidden beneath these events?

Chen Xing couldn't care less about these questions.

He was quite content with his current life. Though the Chen family wasn't as affluent as the Lee family or the Liu family, they had enough to live comfortably and enjoy life.

Moreover, unlike his former lovers, human girls possessed a delicate and endearing quality that he found utterly adorable, like his classmate Yan Yuhan.

"Chen Xing!"

As Chen Xing was musing, a voice interrupted his reverie.

A girl in a blue and white dress caught his attention. She had an adorable oval face, radiant with beauty, and long black hair that fell to her back. Her sparkling eyes shone like jewels, her small nose was perfectly shaped, and her tender pink lips seemed irresistibly kissable.

She was their class monitor, Luo Shuining, known for her excellent academic performance and remarkable physical strength. Like Lee Qing, she was also at the seventh level of the Body Tempering Realm, and perhaps even a bit stronger.

Additionally, she was the beauty of the class, renowned throughout the entire grade. This was why the onlooking students had earlier referred to Yan Yuhan as the second most beautiful.

Chen Xing, however, didn't agree with that assessment; he found Yan Yuhan to be much cuter.

"Monitor, what's up?" he asked, turning his head with a laid-back tone.

Luo Shuining's gaze faltered. It was the first time she had encountered a boy who seemed so nonchalant in her presence.

And this boy was none other than Chen Xing, once known for his roguish charm.

Every time he looked at her with those fiery, seductive eyes, she wanted to gouge them out.
