Upon hearing the news, Chen Fann regarded Elder Wang with an icy stare, a surge of murderous intent rising within him. His hand, which was already clasped around the elder's neck, tightened ever so gradually, as if he could snap the man's neck in a mere moment.

In the midst of Chen Fann's hesitation, a formidable presence burst forth from the distance, barreling straight toward them. A streak of red light plummeted from the heavens, and a man clad in crimson garb materialized before him.

The newcomer bore a streak of red between his brows, his features striking and his demeanor exuberant. A potent aura radiated from him, instilling a sense of wariness in Chen Fann.

"Why bother with such a man, brother?" the red-clad figure said with a smile, looking at Chen Fann. "He's only achieved this level through his family's influence. He's ruined his own prospects; it's not worth your trouble."

Upon Ye Kai's arrival, Elder Wang's face lit up with unexpected joy. "Ye Kai, this man is a spy from the Five Poisons Sect. I command you to seize him and deliver him to the Law Enforcement Hall for judgment," he exclaimed.

Despite Ye Kai's presence, Chen Fann's grip on Elder Wang did not waver. Instead, he offered a slight smile before tossing Elder Wang to the ground and turning his attention to Ye Kai.

"Who might you be?" Chen Fann asked. "You've heard his accusations. Even if I were to release him, he'll never forget the disgrace of today. Perhaps I should lend him a hand." As Chen Fann's words fell, he cast a menacing glance at Elder Wang beneath him. With a clenched right fist, he delivered a ferocious blow to the elder's head.

The onlookers, sensing the gravity of the situation, silently withdrew. They watched Chen Fann with eyes brimming with fear, recognizing the madness in a man who would dare attempt to slay the son of the Blackheaven Sect's Second Elder—an elder no less.

"We should leave now, before we get dragged into this and end up as collateral damage," someone whispered.

"Who is this man, so bold and fearsome?" another murmured.

Even Ye Kai, who had been at a distance, hadn't anticipated Chen Fann's audacity. He sprang into action to prevent the killing, his body transforming into a prism of light. His right hand became a shield, intercepting Chen Fann's punch, while his left hand whisked Elder Wang to safety.

Ye Kai swiftly created distance between them, knowing all too well the peril of standing too close to a body cultivator. His right hand, now behind his back, quivered subtly.

"This man's physical prowess is astonishing. Could he be the disciple of some reclusive master? If his body cultivation has reached such heights, he could very well dominate the world," Ye Kai mused with a mix of respect and awe.

"Kid, that one in red is quite the character—actually a woman, and not just any woman, but one with the Vermillion Bird constitution. The Blackheaven Sect just got a lot more interesting," Taotie remarked to Chen Fann from within his dantian, observing Ye Kai.

Chen Fann's initial shock gave way to embarrassment as he realized the seemingly slick, powdered individual opposite him was, in fact, a woman. His cheeks flushed, but he quickly regained his composure, leaving Ye Kai feeling somewhat perplexed.

For some inexplicable reason, Chen Fann's animosity had vanished, leaving him puzzled. Meanwhile, Elder Wang, standing behind him, glared at Chen Fann, his eyes seething with hatred.

"Ye Kai, apprehend this man," Elder Wang commanded sternly, his gaze fixed on Ye Kai. "He dares to intrude upon the Blackheaven Sect's sacred grounds? Seize him for our sacrificial rites to the heavens."

Ye Kai cast a disdainful glance, a sneer escaping his lips before he turned away, dismissing the man from his attention.

"Elder, let it be," Han Feng implored, hobbling over to Elder Wang. "Ye Kai is the Sect Master's disciple. If we provoke him, we're bound to suffer for it later."

Elder Wang felt a chill course through him. The current Sect Master's ruthlessness was infamous, and it was precisely this iron fist that had propelled the Blackheaven Sect to the forefront of the top ten factions in just a few years.

"Elder Wang, we should leave. There will be other chances," Han Feng advised, noting the elder's stormy expression.

After a moment's hesitation and a fierce glare at Chen Fann, Elder Wang departed with a bitter taste in his mouth.

"Friend, who might you be, and what brings you to the Blackheaven Sect?" Ye Kai inquired, smiling at Chen Fann.

Observing Chen Fann, Ye Kai was impressed by his cultivation level at such a young age, not to mention his formidable physique, which made him unbeatable among his peers. Clearly, this prodigy had come to the Blackheaven Sect with a purpose.

"Lord Taotie, are you saying this person is a woman? I can't see it," Chen Fann queried the entity within his dantian, Taotie, his face a mask of confusion.

Taotie's laughter echoed silently, offering no further comment. Left with no other choice, Chen Fann shared his reasons for visiting with Ye Kai, who couldn't hide his delight.

"Brother Chen, you're truly a free cultivator seeking to join us? You couldn't have chosen a better place. The Blackheaven Sect is in dire need of talents like you. Come, I'll take you to meet my master," Ye Kai beamed, responding to Chen Fann's revelation.

But then, a cold smirk crossed Chen Fann's face.

"The Blackheaven Sect may be large and powerful, but I didn't expect to be bullied by a mere elder. It seems the sect isn't as impressive as I thought," Chen Fann remarked icily, recalling the earlier incident.

Anger flared across Ye Kai's features as he too remembered the confrontation. Such a talent as Chen Fann was rare; if not for being nurtured from a young age, where else could one find such a disciple? Elder Wang had truly botched this.

"Moreover, if the Blackheaven Sect doesn't even have a disciple who can surpass me, then I must question the caliber of your training," Chen Fann added with a hint of disappointment. He turned to leave.

Ye Kai quickly interjected.

"Brother Chen, our sect is home to many formidable disciples; most are away on training missions. In my generation alone, we have Senior Brother Xia Yu, who tops the Qi Condensation Stage rankings, and Junior Sister Ye Jieyi, bearer of the Sacred Body of the Purple Pole," he said, his voice swelling with pride.

At the mention of Ye Jieyi, Chen Fann's eyes dimmed momentarily, his aura flickering in disarray, nearly detected by Ye Kai. He silently acknowledged the name.

"Fine, I'll meet your master. But if it's not satisfactory, I'll take my leave just the same," Chen Fann said, nodding slowly.

Joy lit up Ye Kai's face as he led Chen Fann towards the grand hall where the Sect Master awaited.

That day, word spread throughout the Blackheaven Sect of a lawless demon who dared to challenge an elder. Now captured by the Sect Master's disciple, Ye Kai, he was on his way to confront the Sect Master himself.

Within a secluded great hall, Elder Wang, once haughty and overbearing, knelt before a venerable elder with a mane of white hair, much like a chastened child. His face bore the look of someone wronged, his complaints of inner turmoil accompanied by tears welling in the corners of his eyes.

"My son, be at ease. I've already sent a disciple of your Martial Uncle Xing to apprehend this individual. Once captured, he will be at your disposal," the elder said, his voice tinged with sympathy as he regarded Elder Wang.

"Yes, Father. This man is undoubtedly a spy from the Five Poisons Sect. You must trust me; he even had the audacity to attempt my life. Despite revealing your identity to him, he dared to raise his hand against me, showing no regard for your stature whatsoever," Elder Wang declared with a venomous tone, his gaze fixed on the old man.
